Les guêpes sont particulièrement envahissantes. Lorsqu’elles parviennent à construire leur nid dans les environs, vous pouvez être certains qu’elles viendront vous saluer assez régulièrement ! La technique de la fumée
Si vous avez renoncé à appeler un exterminateur professionnel (ce que nous vous recommandons fortement) et que vous estimez pouvoir agir seul, il va falloir être prudent, vous protéger efficacement, et utiliser la technique de la fumée.
Cette méthode n’est réservée qu’aux nids de guêpes qui sont accessibles, situés à mi-hauteur et dans un arbre dégagé. Démarrez alors un petit feu sous le nid, dans un barbecue par exemple, et laissez la fumée monter tranquillement dans le repère. Ne mettez surtout pas le feu au nid ! Vous feriez bien plus de dégâts que prévus, et les guêpes vous montreront également leur mécontentement.
La fumée va disperser les guêpes. Une fois vide, vous pourrez ensuite décrocher le nid et le faire tomber au sol en utilisant un manche de brosse. Prévoyez néanmoins un vaporisateur adapté pour vous assister dans la manœuvre et vous protéger en cas d’attaque. Une fois que vous avez l’assurance d’avoir fait fuir toutes les guêpes du nid, vous pouvez le ramasser avec un sac-poubelle. Attachez le tout correctement et jetez le sac dans une poubelle extérieure disposant d’un couvercle.
